Vulnerability Assessment & Adaption Presentation

At the February 14, 2023, City Council meeting, Sean Lahav with Halff Associates provided an update on the City of Port Richey’s Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan development process that is currently underway. Consultants from Halff recently compiled an inventory of all publicly owned, critical and regionally significant assets located across the community. The following steps in the process will be focused on evaluating the vulnerabilities of these vital assets to the natural hazards of tidal flooding, storm surge, sea level rise, precipitation, and compound flooding. Mr. Lahav provided an overview of the entire project. He explained how this process would support the City of Port Richey in becoming better positioned to pursue grant funding for future design and construction activities.
