City Manager, John Dudte has over 30 years of public service experience. John began his career as a paramedic/firefighter for the City of Newton, KS, and spent more than a decade working as a tenured professor and paramedic training program director with Hutchinson Community College, Witchita State University, The George Washington University, and the District of Columbia Fire/EMS Department. Mr. Dudte’s work with GWU and the DC Fire/EMS included teaching and consulting assignments in Oman, the UAE, Jordan, India, Azerbaijan, Columbia, and Peru. John also served as a federal grant manager with the DC Primary Care Association and the District of Columbia Department of Health. Additionally, Mr. Dudte served as a Senior Public Health Advisor and Diplomat for the U.S. Department of State, with assignments in Iraq, Nigeria, and Mexico. In 2017, John joined the City of Chapman, KS as their City Administrator, and now continues his commitment to public service by proudly serving as your City Manager.
