Police Chief, Cyrus Robinson brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience to the City. Chief Robinson graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor of Applied Science – (BAS) Degree focused in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration, as well as a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Prior to coming to the City of Port Richey, Chief Robinson dedicated 30+ years working for the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, serving the citizens of Hernando County, and retiring as the Major of Law Enforcement Operations. Chief Robinson brings a strong belief in accountability, professionalism, ethics, and community policing. He possesses strong operations skills and has extensive experience in Crime Analysis, Budgeting, Emergency Management, Operational Planning, Investigations, Administration, Community Outreach, and Tactics.
