Staff is currently onsite on Island Harbor Drive, in the West Port Subdivision, repairing a 3″ main break. Service may be interrupted while staff is diligently working to resolve this issue.
While this may not be within the corporate city limits, it is important to remember that our Utilities Department maintains and services certain areas that extend outside of the City.
The Utility Department will be conducting smoke testing on Monday, November 8, 2021, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Smoke testing is a safe, efficient, and cost-effective method used to look for places where breaks and cracks may be in the sewer system. This testing can also reveal areas around a home or building where improper connections to the sewer system are made as well as identify possible sources of sewer odors.
