Fire Hydrant Testing & Inspections

Fire Hydrant testing will begin today starting near Limit and Olesner and then moving to the north side of the City until all hydrant testing is completed. Because the inspections involve an increased flow of water from the hydrants, large amounts of water may be observed in the roadways and water pressure may be decreased during this time.

Please contact the Port Richey Fire Department directly for any questions concerning the hydrant testing and/or inspections at 727-816-1910.

Stormwater Maintenance

As part of our ongoing stormwater maintenance efforts, staff was on Bay Boulevard today removing trash/debris from swales and jetting storm drains. The importance of maintaining clean storm drains and swales is crucial to help reduce the risk of flooding in our area. City staff is consistently working to remove debris and silt to help prevent stormwater pollution and control flooding. Without regular maintenance, even the most well developed systems are unprotected from pollution or flooding. If you see an area in the City that may require attention, please call 727-816-1902. #stormwatermanagement
