Earlier today, Port Richey Fire Department, MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife and Clearwater Marine Aquarium respond to a manatee in distress that was stuck inside a FDOT stormwater drainage pipe near U.S. Highway 19 and Grand Boulevard. Rescue efforts were successful; the manatee is alive and being transported to receive veterinary care. Thank you to all of the agencies for their assistance with this life saving rescue!
