Local State of Emergency Issued

Subsequent to Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 22-219, Emergency Management – Tropical Depression Nine dated September 24, 2022, amending Executive Order 22-218 dated September 23, 2022, and according to the authorities granted the Port Richey City Manager by the City Code Chapter 12, Article III, Sec 12-47, (a), (1) and Section 12-48 (a) – (f) a state of local emergency is hereby declared for the City of Port Richey. As noted in Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order, the effects of Tropical Depression Nine, subsequently named Hurricane Ian, will likely create a significant threat to the health, safety and well fare for residents, infrastructure, and public services in the City of Port Richey, Pasco County, and surrounding counties.
